FEATURES :
This is the highest capacity DGMS approved exploder for use in underground mines.
Ø POWERBLAST Exploder will not charge if the connected circuit has higher resistance then recommended, or the circuit is open as the PB 30 has an inbuilt resistance sensor and cut off to eliminate the chances of misfire due to higher blast circuit resistance.
Ø POWERBLAST Exploder does not fire till the rated output is attained, when the firing switch is pressed. This again is the mandatory feature to eliminate chances of misfire due to undervoltage firing.
Ø POWERBLAST Exploder is provided with low battery indicator which gives warning that the battery is low and gets internally locked till the battery is charged or replaced.
Ø POWERBLAST Exploder will discharge internally if the firing is to be cancelled by turning the operating key to the “OFF” position. Thus firing can be cancelled at any stage safely.
Ø POWERBLAST Exploder is very compact and has high impact plastic moulded body.
Ø POWERBLAST Exploder has Hermetically sealed circuit which is intrinsically safe except for the firing output.
Ø POWERBLAST offers Special facility of calibration and servicing which can be provided at our works or at the projects to comply to the requirements of the COAL MINE REGULATION, 1957 clause No.169 c ( i ) of servicing and maintenance of exploders.
The above exploder is the safest for use in any coal mine and any other operation upto the maximum circuit resistance.
OPERATION :
Ø First check the Instrument by inserting the key and turning it clockwise for the condition of the battery. “L” indicates low battery and dot (n) indicates that the Exploder is “ON”. Switch off the exploder.
Ø Intimate everybody in & around the blast area to clear for blasting.
Ø Connect the external circuit leads to the exploder output terminal.
Ø By turning the inserted key clockwise the letter “C” will appear on the display indicating that the circuit is in order.
Ø Keep the key in clockwise position and within 10 to 15 seconds l the letter “F” starts flashing. This means that the exploder is ready to fire.
Ø Press firing switch to explode.
Ø If the firing at any stage is to be cancelled for any genuine reason just turn the charging switch to OFF position and the condenser of the Exploder will discharge internally with no residual charge.
Ø Remove Blasting cable leads from the terminal of exploders before entering the blast face area.
Ø Keep the exploder in dry place.
Ø As per regulation always keep the exploder key with the person authorized to do so.
Ø Under no condition the exploders should be opened for overhaul / repairs / maintenance / study at mine or construction site as it is not permitted as per regulation.
Ø As per the local regulation the exploder should be maintained timely and a usability certificate obtained from authorized / competent persons only.
